Advanced Master
Character Modelling and Texturing for AAA Games
Take your 3D modelling artistic skills to the highest level by designing your own characters and fantastical creatures
You will master advanced techniques for the design and creation of 3D characters for high-end video games, as well as for animated and live-action films, through a highly specialised training programme that is unique in Spain. Upon completing your training, you will become part of a Professional Practice Lab in collaboration with one of the companies within the Voxel School ecosystem. You will be able to apply everything you have learned throughout the master while being supervised by a real AAA game art studio specialising in 3D art production.

Module 1
Character Art

Technical and Creative Process: Characters
You will learn to create and optimise characters and creatures at the highest level, applying processes such as advanced retopology, high-to-low polygon transfers and photogrammetry.

Advanced Techniques: Character Design
You will enhance your skills in character conceptualisation and creation through techniques and processes based on anatomy, as well as the design and behaviour of fabrics and materials.
Module 2
Advanced Modelling and Texturing

Advanced Character Modelling and Texturing I
You will enhance your technical skills by creating both hyper-realistic and stylised characters.

Advanced Character Modelling and Texturing II
You will push your skills in modelling and texturing animals and creatures to the highest level of 3D fidelity.

Clothing and Accessories Modelling
You will enhance your techniques related to the creation of clothing, fabrics and wearable accessories for your characters.
Module 3
Real Time Tech Pipeline

Technical Pipeline in AAA Productions
You will apply the workflows and production processes used in AAA video game productions.

Game Engine
You will bring your creations from the main 3D applications into Unreal Engine, bringing them to life by fully exploiting the real-time capabilities and tools provided by the engine.
Module 4
Professional Practice Lab

Professional Practice Lab
Once you have completed the master, you will put the knowledge you have acquired into practice within one of the companies in the Voxel School ecosystem, working in a real artistic production environment for AAA video games.
